Ow ow ow . . .
Jul. 23rd, 2004 04:50 amAnother throbbing, head-falling-off, every-sunbeam-is-a-dagger-thru-my-right-eye migraine.
Tobacco smoke and stress definately make them worse. Loud noises may also be a contributing factor - this and the last one both immediately followed concerts.
If the next one is this bad (oh, gods, it'll be time for my monthly one right after the next Bi-Peds show), I may have to see a doctor about them. The doctor, of course, will (a) want to do all kinds of expensive testing, and (b) tell me to lose weight. And probably end up prescribing me Vicodin, which I don't want and won't take.
Having said that, I should probably make an eye appointment sometime soon - this prescription is old, and even if eyestrain isn't a cause it's probably not helping. I've been paying for optical insurance; I might as well use it.
Thanks to
asland32 for working on me a bit on Wednesday night - he got rid of a lot of tension, which was hurting, too. But nothing stops one of these things nce it's decided to smack me around, except - sometimes, if I catch it very, very early - massive doses of caffeine.
I'll post some thoughts on the family stuff - and maybe, just maybe, a bit of fanfic - in the next few days. But not while my head is hurting. I wish these would quit.
