kristenb615:
1. What's the secret to a happy married life, in your opinion?
2. Do you have strong impressions of a life before this one? (Whether or not you *believe* in reincarnation...)
3. Name a fictional character you identify with strongly.
4. When did you first admit to yourself that you were pagan?
5. Give me song lyrics or a snippet of literature that moves you.
1) Common interests, communication, and finding a kind-hearted person in the first place! At least, that's been my experience so far.
2) Yes. The most vivid ones aren't human.
3) Meg Murray, from Madeline L'Engle's A Wrinkle In Time and the following books. Although, as I get older, I'm also starting to identify with her mother . . .
4) Sometime in late 1994. There's a very detailed answer to this question in this post from the last round of the interview meme, if you want the whole megillah.
5)
- from Patty Larkin's "I'm Fine"; the whole song actually fits the question

5)
"Hearts are worth the mending,
although they heal up slowly,
And every beat hits soft and low.
There comes a time
when all the pain and hurt is ending
And your heart gets up to go.
In the autumn
it was winter's watch I was keeping
And the world was brown and gold
You crept in and kissed me
while I lay there sleeping
And handed me a lover's rose."
