Finally, the Invitation
Jun. 13th, 2004 03:36 amIf anyone in the greater Houston area would be interested in playing in a face-to-face GURPS Special Ops game (with a touch of Conspiracy Theory), I have banged this thing into enough shape to issue an invitation.
Here goes:
--
The time: if Max Headroom is 20 minutes into the future, this is 10. Corporations haven’t eliminated government for good yet, but they’re getting close.
The place: Houston, TX, home to major energy and technology corporations. A city run even more by money, greed, and graft than the rest of the world . . . jobs are scarce, especially for those just leaving college or those who have been downsized in the latest economic dip.
The following advertisement appears in the classified ads of every alternative, college, music, or art newspaper or weekly rag in Houston (although not the Chronicle).
Your job, if you choose to accept it: create a character who responds to the want ad. (Those who know GURPS already, 100 pts, border TL7/TL8. If you don’t know the system, write up a character concept and we’ll transfer it to the GURPS point system once the character’s nailed down.) Also, let me know when would be good/bad times to game for you. You can reply as a comment to this posting or e-mail me at the livejournal address (it gets through to me fine) or my regular e-mail (if you already have it).
