omorka: (Autoharp & Case)

Wow, tuning an autoharp is a PITA. I'm so very glad I got the extra-long tuning wrench - the high strings are fussy enough with it; I don't want to think about how it would be if I were trying to do that with the T-wrench or, worse, the regular L-wrench.

Also, how did all my strings end up a quarter-tone flat? Okay, yes, it was in the car on the way to and from Apollocon, but we never left it in the car for any significant time when the A/C wasn't running. :-(

Anyway, it's fixed now. Any bets on it ending up sharp once they fix our dining room A/C?

It's coming up on time for another general string change. This time I'm taking off the chord bars. And while I have them off, I'm debating losing another 7th chord to put a B-major on there; only problem is, it won't have any low strings. The E-major and B-minor chords already have a lot of dead wire in the low end of the harp. (I'm also vaguely thinking of buying another cheapie off of eBay and stringing it as a diatonic, just to have one, but that may have to wait until we have more storage space - I already don't have a good place to put the horn.)
