Note To Self:

1) Wait a few weeks for the wank to die down.

2) Get caught up on Torchwood, for crying out loud.

It's Not Crack If It's True

I have just realized that in my personal fanon, NOVA Labs (from Short Circuit) must be where Fargo did his college internship. Eureka and NOVA are both in Oregon, too. Some of the same language is even used for Johnny 5 and Callister. Crossover crack!fic plot-bunny away!

(editing the last post rather than making a new one, since this is fanwaknery too)

While I've been more pleased with it than [livejournal.com profile] quantumduck (partly because Emo!Ianto Is My Woobie 4Evah!), I have to say I was truly impressed with the last Torchwod ep we watched, "Random Shoes." Not only did it have interesting storytelling and real and empathizable characters, now only did it suggest that Gwen may well have some psychic sensitivities of her own, not only did spoiler! ), but the show did the impossible: it managed to make "Danny Boy" actually moving and emotionally appropriate instead of ridiculously mawkish. I didn't know that trick was possible!
