New word! (Sorry I’m so excited; I just don’t run into new words that aren’t tech terms very often.)

“Doppelsprecher” - A person who is a perfect sound-alike for another one, in the same way a doppelganger is a perfect look-alike. (I’m assuming it’s of German origin? Someone correct me on that if I’m wrong!)

Spotted a term new to me in [livejournal.com profile] initiatezathras's journal, and had to go look lit up:

Pronoia n. - (1) The suspicion that others are plotting for your benefit. (2) The belief that the Universe is engaging in a conspiracy on your behalf (whether combined that of others or not). (3) The delusion that others think well of you.

What a useful word!

(This inspired me to look up "hypernoia," which is not nearly so much fun: rapidity of thought, esp. of the type seen in the manic phase of manic depression.)
