Long post, mostly personal junk, behind the cut. TL;DR: We tried to fix someone's TV set yesterday and I got so many mosquito bites I had to take a Benadryl.

If that didn't scare you off, here goes: )

Still here. Been eaten by political awfulness, OwlCon, work, local Pagan org stuff, and a variety of deaths and illnesses in the social group (most of them not mine). OwlCon will continue to eat my lunch for the next three weeks or so, but then that'll be off my plate and I might have an online presence somewhere other than Twitter again.

I was originally going to write this post to complain that the Council of Magickal Arts's Beltane gathering this weekend is likely to be at least partially rained out for the second year in a row, and blame this fact on El Nino, because damn.

Then I realized that this is the 20th anniversary of my first CMA Beltane. I'd been a member of the organization since sometime in 1995, but Beltane 1996 was the first one I actually got to attend for a number of reasons.

I have been doing this for twenty godsdamn years. It's been two decades and We're Still Here. The community looks a lot different, and we've lost some dearly beloved folks in that time, but there is still a Pagan-owned and Pagan-operated festival in the heart of Texas, and I've been a part of it for more than half my life.

Still sucks about this weekend possibly getting rained out, but - wow.

Another vacation over, another completely screwed-up sleep cycle. Although in this case this was not 100% my fault; my stupid trick stomach contributed (my entire caloric intake today has been two large slices of cheese toast and two cups of hot tea with sugar and lemon).

On the other hand, it's been a good week for fandom news in general, after a few depressing ones, so that's nice. Lots to look forward to!
